10 Tips to Painless Shoveling

Mother Nature has decided to dump a late season snow upon those of us located in the Northeast.  Late season snows are often wet and heavy.  As I know many of you will venture out at some point to shovel walks and driveways, here are my 10 tips towards making the experience as painless as possible.

TIP #1:

Bundle up in the right clothing.  Aside from wearing a coat, gloves, scarf and hat, remember to wear water proof boots so your feet don't get wet.  Also, wear clothes in layers so you can adjust them as necessary.

TIP #2

Pick a shovel that is right for you.  Choosing a shovel that is too big invites you to attempt to pick up loads of snow which are too heavy.  This can cause strain or injury.  If you only have one shovel and it is a large one, than be conscious and create smaller loads for yourself.  Yes, it may take a little longer, but it will reduce the likelihood of injury or permanent damage.  Also, plastic shovels are usually lighter than metal shovels.

TIP #3

Be sure to warm up your muscles BEFORE your start shoveling.  Do a few stretches before you start.  Cold, tight muscles are more likely to sprain or strain than warm, relaxed muscles.

TIP #4

Remember we had an ice storm prior to the snow fall, so watch your step.

TIP #5

Whenever possible PUSH the snow versus lifting it.  Pushing puts less strain on the spine than lifting.

TIP #6

Your shoveling technique is very important.  According to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, they recommend: "If you must lift the snow, lift it properly.  Squat with your legs apart, knees bend and back straight.  LIFT WITH YOUR LEGS (like the little kid in the photo above)

TIP #7

Never throw snow over your shoulder.  Instead, toss it in front of your

TIP #8

Pace yourself by taking frequent breaks to gently stretch your back, arms and legs.  If your hands or feet get cold or wet, go inside to warm up.  Put on dry gloves, socks and boots before going back outside.

TIP #9

If you experience any kind of pain, STOP IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK ASSISTANCE.

TIP #10

Hot chocolate is always a nice treat on a cold, snowy day.  However, after shoveling a bunch of snow, treat yourself to a hot soaking bath.  Add a cup or two of epsom salts to the bath water and allow yourself 30-40 minutes to just relax - your muscles will thank you.

My Top 6 Uses For Epsom Salts

In my earnest opinion, Epsom Salt is among the best natural remedy for a vast number of every day ailments.  And, because there is research to back-up many of the claims, I find myself often recommending its use to clients.  One added benefit (provided my clients take my advice and use it) is that its use will save them time and money.  So, why tolerate those aches, pains or sleepless nights when you don't have to?

Here are my top 6 uses for Epsom Salts (in no particular order):

1. Stress Relief !!! - Add 2 cups of Epsom Salts to a hot bath, close the bathroom door (the world, including your cell phone, kids and the dog stay on the opposite side of the door), immerse your body in the Epsom Salt/water mixture and soak for about 20-30 minutes.

2. Soothe Sore, Tired and/or Strained Muscles - Add 2 cups of Epsom Salts to a hot bath, close the bathroom door, immerse your body, especially those specific sore muscles in the Epsom Salt/water mixture and soak for about 30 minutes.

3. Prevent Tired, Over-Worked Muscles BEFORE They Ache or Begin Hurting - Add 2 cups of Epsom Salts to a hot bath, close the bathroom door, immerse yourself in the Epsom Salt/water mixture and soak for about 30 minutes.  Do this after completing your strenuous activity, but before you sit down and relax or go to bed.  The less time you give the muscles following the activity, the less likely they are to stiffen-up and begin hurting.

4. A Natural Sleep-Aid (especially when infused with Lavender) - Add 2 cups of Epsom Salts to a hot bath, close the bathroom door (the world, including your cell phone, kids and the dog stay on the opposite side of the door), immerse yourself in Epsom Salt/water mixture and soak for about 30-40 minutes or until water feels like it is about room temperature.  For best results, do this just before going to bed.

5.  Reduce Swelling in Legs and FeetAdd 2 cups of Epsom Salts to a hot bath, close the bathroom door (the world, including your cell phone, kids and the dog stay on the opposite side of the door), immerse your feet and legs in the Epsom Salt/water mixture and soak for about 20-30 minutes.  (Note:  Ideal treatment for anyone who either stands or is on their feet a lot all day; especially when they have to get up and do it all again the next day)

6.  Relief For Itchy Rashes or Sunburn - Add 2 cups of Epsom Salts to a hot bath, close the bathroom door, immerse yourself in the Epsom Salt/water mixture and soak for about 20-30 minutes.  Another method is to mix 2 tablespoons of Epsom Salt with 1 cup of water, pour combination into a spray bottle and spray onto the affected area.  (Note:  If Rash continues to spread, contact your physician or seek further medical attention.  If you develop problems breathing, please call 911 or seek emergency medical attention as this may be a sign of something more serious).

Caution:  If you have Diabetes, please consult with your doctor BEFORE using Salts as it may impact your blood sugar levels and/or blood pressure.  Epsom Salt is magnesium based (whereas Himalayan Salts or regular Table Salt is sodium-based). Still, check the label to make sure of the packaging content before use.

How it works:  Epsom Salts contains minerals which breakdown into smaller particles in water.  These particles than seep through your pores and help to heal tired, over-worked muscles and tissues.  It also has anti-inflammatory properties which aid in alleviating minor irritations.  It can used used with regularity and frequency or, simply, on an 'as-needed' basis.

However, if you find yourself needing to use Epsom Salts on an everyday basis (other than simply over a short period of time, ex. a month or so, to get you through a short-term strenuous project, etc.), than you may want to stop and consider 'what is the 'root cause' of your problem' and address the problem at its source to prevent long term damage to your body, mind and spirit.

The Body Benefits From Water

By Patricia Denny, LMT, March 12, 2018

If you are like most Americans, than you do not drink enough water.  Many of us grab coffee, sodas, or an energy drink to wake us up and keep us going.  While effective, most of our choice options contain caffeine, which actually dehydrates the body.  So, why is water so important and the optimal choice?

The human body is approximately 60% water and vital to the overall functioning and well-being of the human body and its systems.  As the image above shows, water is a vital ingredient to each of the eight (8) areas noted.  However, this list only identifies each benefit broadly.  Let's take a closer look:

Regulates Body Temperature -

Part of your brain, the hypothalamus, works with other parts of your body's temperature-regulating system, such as the skin, sweat glands and blood vessels.  These could also be referred to as 'the vents, condensers and heat ducts' of your body's heating and cooling system.  Water enables the body to release heat as we sweat.  The evaporation of water from the skin's surface cools the body very efficiently.

Moistens Tissues -

Water acts as a lubricant moistening tissues throughout your body; including your eyes, nose and mouth. You literally have fascial tissue, which is one long, continuous strand wrapping every bone, muscle and organ, located throughout your body.  As an example:  This fascial tissue helps your scapula glide over your exterior rib cage as you move your arms.  Just like 'cling wrap', it can get 'sticky' and/or stuck and reduce your range of motion. But, that is just one example.  As you move, this tissue allows organs to glide against other adjacent muscles and organs.  Just the simple function of breathing, allows your lungs to push against your rib cage and, as the two engage, your rib cage glides while expanding and contracting.

Protects Organs and Tissues -

Here water acts as both a shock absorber, as well as, a lubricant.  The brain (though some may argue it is a muscle) is floating in cerebrospinal fluid, consisting of mostly water, that protects the brain from injuries and allows the spinal cord to slide in the spinal canal.  The abdominal area is also full of water which reduces friction between organs and allows organs to move around or float.

Lubricates Joints -

Water is an intricate part of synovial fluid, which is located in the body's joints acting as a lubricant and shock absorber.  Thus, when bones and their connecting joints are in motion, the synovial fluid reduces damaging and, often times, painful friction.  Cartilage, a strong, flexible connective tissue, is found in various parts of the body including the joints, outer ear and the larynx (also known as the voice box).  Have you ever noticed someone speaking will keep a glass of water nearby just in case their mouth gets too dry to talk?

Helps to Prevent Constipation -

Most readers have experienced the difference between the struggle and strain of trying to pass a large, condensed stool and a bowel movement so liquid it runs out of your system like someone turned on a faucet.  So, understanding how water aids in this process should be pretty self-explanatory.  Simply put, it acts as a lubricant making the process of eliminating waste easier.

Reduces Burden on Kidneys and Liver -

The liver is an important organ within the human body.  With the help of Vitamin K, the liver produces proteins important to blood clotting.  It is also one of the organs that break down old or damaged blood cells.  The liver plays a central role in all metabolic processes in the body.  In fat metabolism, the liver cells break down fats and produce energy.  It also secretes bile which ends up in the intestines.

Waste is filtered through your kidney and water is an essential part of this process.  (Simplified) Waste is dissolved in water which filters through the kidney; thus, making it easier for the kidney to separate out 'the junk' and flush it out of the body.

Helps Dissolve Minerals and Other Nutrients -

Minerals and nutrients absorb water, which, in turn, helps to 'break them down' and move them into areas of the body where they are needed and utilized.

Carries Nutrients and Oxygen to Cells -

The water in the body carries elements such as oxygen and other nutrients to cells by dissolving them into the bloodstream and delivering them through the cell membrane.  Water surrounding each cell creates a flexibility in the cell membrane that can help it change shape to expand and contract muscles.

Cells can dry up and shrink if there is not enough water.  This contributes to a concentration of different salts (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, etc.), which are usually heavily regulated under normal circumstances.

HYDRATION -

The broadest benefit of water is keeping the body hydrated.  This encompasses all of the eight (8) benefits listed.  Keep in mind, this article is not exhaustive of all of the functions and benefits of water within the human body.  However, some might even refer to water as the 'fountain of youth' as it allows the body to function as designed and reduces 'wear-n-tear', thus prolonging the usefulness and function of the body and all of its parts.

So, while I completely understand the occasional need to grab for a caffeinated drink - and, am completely guilty of doing so myself - I encourage you, the reader, to try to drink more water and provide your body with something it wants and needs.  Your body will 'thank you'.

Lyme’s Disease - Solutions and Resources for Chronic Sufferers

Lyme’s Disease - Solutions and Resources for Chronic Sufferers

About a year ago, I was invited as a medical massage professional to participate in a medical conference for people affected with Lyme’s Disease.  The conference was to be held in Frederick, Maryland at a very large and beautiful old mansion.  I accepted the invitation as a favor to a dear friend who knew the woman organizing the event.  Frankly, I knew little about Lyme’s Disease other than people got it from tick bites.  Further, I didn’t think it effected that many people - was I about to have my mind blown!

The conference was ‘sold out’ with people traveling as far as the midwest to attend.  I arrived early thinking I would have a chance to set-up and meet the other participates.  However, I pulled into a parking lot jam-packed with cars full of eager attendees anxious to meet one of the keynote speakers, a female doctor who practiced the teachings of Dr. Horowitz and was an advocate for patients dealing with Lyme’s Disease.  I carried my gear through a crush of people, mostly women.  As I found out as the session began, many of these women shared a common experience with their medical professionals when they shared their complaints:  ‘They were dismissed’

The organizer of the event, Ms. Katrina Kolb, shared her own story and how she had been bitten and infected many times (so goes the myth you can only get it once).  She shared her own struggles with getting the medical help she needed, how she was forced to do her own research and how she currently maintains her health and well-being.  One of the things she shared was her discovery of a book, written by Dr. Richard Horowitz, entitled: “Why Can’t I Get Better”.
The moment Katrina mentioned Dr. Horowitz’s book, the room erupted into cheers and applause regarding the book.  Quite a few people in the room commented how it saved them as so many others were leading them to believe they were going nuts.  Even the keynote speaker made mention of the book as if it were a bible for people suffering with Lyme’s Disease.  I made a note to myself that I needed to get and read this book simply to educate myself more on this affliction which is much more widespread than I ever imagined.

Ever since that conference, I have encountered more and more people literally suffering with Lyme’s and frustrated with the inability of the general medical world to address their problems and many health issues.  And, each time, I find myself referring them to Dr. Horowitz’s book and Katrina’s Facebook page in which she continues to cover the issue and offer guidance, support and resources to those afflicted.  Yesterday, was no different, as yet another patient entered my studio and we began discussing Lyme’s Disease.  After the client left, I was determined it was time I write an entry on my blog discussing the issue and provide a few resources.

So, here they are simply as a public service to those dealing with Lyme’s disease:

Absolutely, locate and read a copy of Dr. Richard Horowitz’s book,Why Can’t I Get Better.   As I stay in touch with Katrina, she tells me Dr. Horowitz now has a second book, entitled: “How Can I Get Better” (though she says that she prefers the original over the newer one - either way, I will let you decide).  According to Katrina, both books can be found on Amazon, any book store and most local libraries.

Further, Katrina still maintains her Facebook Page.  It is called Katrina Lyme Blues.  Simply locate the page and send her a ‘friend request’ (she basically accepts them all.  This opens you up to a community of people battling Lyme’s Disease and the medical system towards getting some real help for their issues.

And, for those of you wondering what this has to do with massage?  Turns out massage is actually recommended to treat some of the symptoms associated with chronic Lyme’s Disease. Generally, lite pressure is used like what one would experience if they get a Swedish (or Relaxation) Massage.  Most people suffering with Lyme’s Disease should avoid a Deep Tissue or Sports Massage.

Otherwise, I simply provide this information as a public service and sincerely hope it is helpful to those suffering (and those who care for and love them).

You Can Not Get What You Refuse To Give

I just need to get something out of my head (and off my chest):

Like so many, I have watched, listened and read about one horrific event after another. I am beyond saddened by all of this....frankly, my whole soul aches.

In the aftermath, people look for answers with focus on the tragedy. And, when I speak of tragedies, I am not just referring to those of the last few days, weeks, or even years. I am also not just referring to those which have taken place here at home, within our own country - but, all across the world, including those in the Middle East, Europe, Far East and South America.

I believe the 'root cause' of our problem is bigger than all that has been discussed and now often repeated like a 'broken record'. It's not the guns - they are an object, which can not do anything without human intervention. It is not a Black/White-issue because it goes far beyond that. It is not a Christian/Muslim-issue, a Democrat/Republican-issue, Rich/Poor-issue, Have/Have Not-issue as it goes far beyond all of these things.

In each tragedy, there is one thing repeatedly echoed - what each of us want is RESPECT......

Yet, ‘RESPECT’ is quite often the one thing most of us are not willing to give....and, sadly, I see this every single day in the most ordinary of daily interactions: Our Facebook posts, driving on our roads, when we talk with others (known or unknown, familiar or strangers) and it extends into our foreign policies and trade. It's not solely an American-issue, but we Americans do seem intent on perfecting it.

We want to be HEARD, but we refuse to listen.

We want consideration, but we refuse to consider others.

We want to be appreciated, but we refuse to appreciate others.

We want to be treated FAIRLY, but we refuse to offer the same to others.

We want our concerns addressed without considering the the consequences or impact to others and we refuse to address the concerns of others as we are more concerned with the consequences and impact doing so would have on us.

We want others to change their behavior, but we refuse to do so ourselves.

THIS, in my opinion, is what needs to change:

YOU CAN NOT GET WHAT YOU REFUSE TO GIVE.

In my opinion, it is time each of us looks inward and becomes what we want from others. We need to watch OURSELVES in every moment, of every day, in every interaction we have and, in doing so, offer to others what we want in return ~ WHATEVER THAT MAY BE. We need to be IT - live IT - let all that is good ooze from every pore in our being in absolutely everything we do...and, do it in abundance - OVER DO IT.

There is a word for this: "CIVILITY"

It has long been known that 'you can't force others to change'. The only person you can change is yourself. However, when YOU CHANGE, others MUST change how they respond to you. They simply can NOT act the same way because that NO LONGER WORKS. Further, when you focus on being the best YOU that you can possibly be - you'll find that you don't have the time or attention to get involved in 'life's little dramas' (also known as 'Other people's business' or judgement of others). You will also experience less stress in your daily life - and, reap many benefits from this: physical, mental and spiritual.

As we practice 'civility', we can come together and have real, meaningful conversations with the ability to dig to the heart of 'real issues' and locate workable solutions which we can all agree upon.

Further, as we practice 'civility', I believe we'll find that many of the 'problems' we experience with dissipate, disappear and simply cease to exist....because we took the time to listen, made an effort to understand, learned and were educated. Knowledge trumps fear and ignorance EVERY TIME.

Each of us deserves to be celebrated for the unique, beautiful souls that we are. So, let us celebrate - let me celebrate YOU in all your beauty, your talents, your quirks, and be fascinated and tantalized by your unique story! And, may you enjoy mine.

In my earnest opinion, it is time to make 'Civility' fashionable again ~ I hope you agree.

Massage Proves To Have Medical Benefits

While Massage may have developed a reputation as a decadent treat for people who love pampering, new studies are showing it has a wide variety of tangible health benefits.

Research has found that massage therapy boosts immune function in woman with breast cancer, improves symptoms with children with asthma, and increases grip.

A March 2012 article on Fox News dwells on the multiple benefits of massage therapy. While it is traditionally regarded as a method of relaxation, recent scientific studies suggest that massage can reduce cortisol and cytokine proteins, which are responsible for stress and inflammation, respectively, while boosting infection-fighting white blood cells. These benefits are what cause a growing number of people to go for therapeutic massage in Mid-Atlantic establishments.
In Seattle, Washington, they are noted for their vibrant coffee culture. The city’s residents typically enjoy a good stiff brew as a morning pick-me-up, or to cap a particularly stressful day. While coffee is rich in antioxidants and offers several health benefits, massage might just be what any stressed-out individual needs to get some much-needed rejuvenation without relying too much on caffeine. As many people there have since discovered, an hour-long massage may have more overall benefits to one’s body than a good cup of Joe.
Interest in the health possibilities of massage therapy has undoubtedly surged in recent years. Massage might appear to be nothing more than a series of physical manipulations on a passive subject’s body; but one experiences almost immediate relief during and after each treatment, all thanks to massage’s stress-reducing and immunity-boosting effects. Studies by the American College of Physicians and the American Pain Society even go so far as to posit that massage can help treat lower back pain.
It’s a good thing, then, that in the land of pleasant living, locals can turn to massage treatment centers like Muscular Harmony for a variety of personalized massage services. Most Massage Therapists know a variety of techniques which allow them to go beyond deep-tissue relaxation, and approach the patient’s health and wellness concerns from a holistic perspective to also address emotional and spiritual issues. In any case, patients are advised to seek the services of a qualified massage therapist to maximize the health benefits and avoid possible complications.
People need not spend a fortune to undergo massage therapy, as many facilities charge reasonable rates for various massage treatments. Some establishments might specialize in massage for particular areas of the body in need of attention, with such focused services being more affordable than a full-body procedure. Meanwhile, those who wish to experience the immune-boosting effects of massage therapy and other associated services might want to check out what Muscular Harmony have to offer.
While science has yet to completely understand the full benefits of massage therapy, it is clear that massage can be part of a healthy lifestyle or even specific treatment plans for a variety of medical conditions. The next time you’re hankering for a sip of energizing coffee, you might want to try spending the next hour on a massage table, instead. You’ll be amazed at how much better you’ll feel after a single session.

This article was originally published in the Wall Street Journal on March 14, 2012 - it is being re-published here with references more suitable to our Mid-Atlantic readership.

10 Things Your Massage Therapist Wants You To Know...

Being a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), you see all kinds of people, hear all types of concerns and treat all types of conditions - from the routine, to severe, to weird, even funny.  In my practice, I've seen some common re-occurrences emerge.  After consulting with some colleagues, they seem to have noticed a few patterns too.  So, I've compiled 10 items that stick out the most and what your LMT are really thinking (despite their polite response):

1.  Confirm Your Self-Diagnosis

While Licensed Massage Therapists (LMTs) have some medical training and will do our best to answer your questions within our scope of practice, if you are really concerned GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR.  We will probably refer you if we are concerned or notice something unusual.  Sometimes, we can provide you with specific questions to ask or offer possible alternative-care remediies which your doctor may not necessarily initially consider, but will understand (and know the potential side effects) as they apply to your unique situation and health status.

2. It Really Doesn't Matter That You Haven't Shaved (or didn't apply your make-up or fix your hair).

Seriously, We truthfully don't even notice....until you mention it.  it has absolutely no affect on our treatment.  If it does, that is what oil and lotion is for - I mean it!

As for applying make-up and fixing your hair - it's probably better if you did NOT take the time to do those things as they only get messed-up during your massage.  Your make-up will be left on our face cradle for us to try and wash out.  And, if we can't, then we have to throw away the face cradle cover and replace it - which costs us money (and could cause us to have to raise our prices).  Odds are we are going to either keep moving your hair (if it's not pinned up) or leave you with 'massage hair' from laying on our massage table.  If you are planning on going out after your massage, then feel free to take a few moments to tidy yourself in our restroom before you leave.

3.  Do Your Stretches

And your exercises, and drink your water, and do your home care, and... Any homework LMTs are giving you is designed, along with your treatment plan, to help you resolve your pain and dysfunction.  If you want to get better (and truly avoid potential worsening of your  condition or issues), you need to do your homework.

4. Your Body Is Beautiful

Licensed Massage Therapists treat hundreds of patients; that means seeing and touching their bodies.  Guess what?  They are all different.  Not a single one looks like what you see airbrushed in the media; male or female. A few may come close, but no cigar.  It breaks our hearts when we see patients who are insecure about their bodies.  Each Client is uniquely beautiful - each in their own way.

There is only one condition your body should be in, male or female, young or old: HEALTHY! And, that looks a little different for everyone.  Your LMT is here as a vessel for health.  We are NOT here to judge.  And, we want to tell you: Your body is beautiful, just how it is, as long as you are on your journey to health.

5.  "NO Pain, NO Gain"

While you might hear this phrase when you are working out with your trainer or at the local health club, generally it does NOT apply to massage - or, shouldn't.  In most cases, massage does not need to hurt to be effective; especially if your massage therapist knows what he or she is doing.  As LMTs, we have studied the human body's muscles and our job is to coax them into relaxation.  'Pain' is a symptom that something is wrong.

So, please - SPEAK UP and tell your massage therapist when he or she is doing something that is causing you pain or discomfort.  Don't think you need to 'suck-it-up' or 'man-up' or whatever other silly phrase is currently circulating.  SPEAK UP - and the sooner, the better so your therapist will know the exact area experiencing the discomfort.  This will go further in helping your therapist treat your condition or issues as it will help them pin-point the underlying muscles which are inflamed and work connecting muscles towards achieving relief.

6. Please Do Not Call Us "Masseuses"

We are Massage Therapists; with years of training, education then certification, licensing, experience and legal responsibilities.  The word "masseuse" really has developed a negative connotation and some massage therapists find it very offensive.  It's associated with under-the-table, sketchy, 'happy ending' type of massage.  And, that is NOT what we do.  LMTs provide well thought out, research-based treatment plans to assist our patients return-to or maintenance-of health.  Please refer to us by our hard earned titles:  Licensed Massage Therapist, Massage Therapist or simply LMT.

7.  Don't Be Shy About Your Butt (or Belly).

In our world, your 'bum' is a large muscle....well, actually, it is three muscles.  We call your 'bum': gluteals or glutes.  it is not a booty or ass and we don't see it as fat, tiny, jiggly, bony, lumpy or flat.  We observe your body in a clinical sense, and if you have pain associated with your lower back, legs, hips and/or gluts, don't be shy.

The same is true with your belly.  Your stomach is surrounded by a bunch of different muscles, including your diaphragm.  If you are having trouble 'pooping' (yes, I said it), we actually have a technique which can assist in getting things moving again.  If you are having other problems, like breathing, we have techniques which can help with that as well.  We are here to help, let us know!

8. ...But, Please Do NOT Un-Drape Yourself

As Licensed Massage Therapists, we are legally required to follow draping protocals to protect you and ourselves.  We only undrape the area being treated at that time, then re-drape fully, before un-draping any other areas.  Please keep yourself covered.  And, no, we are not interested in seeing your 'bits' (see #6 if you need clarification of what we do - and do NOT do).

9.  Bodily Functions Are Normal

Most massage therapy treatments have some component or relaxation.  During which your parasympathetic nervous system starts to shine, meaning the rest-and-digest functions are in gear.  And, yes, that means stomach grumbling and growling, snoring, even passing gas are normal.  It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, that's a good sign you are relaxed.  As healthcare professionals, it doesn't faze us.  We don't judge, we are here to help you.

10. We Care

Yes, we rally do care if you how you feel, if you are doing better, if you do your home care.  yes, it really matters what you tell us and how you are feeling.  And, yes, even though we shouldn't, we worry about you when you are struggling.  Your success is our success.

We hope we can make it better, that's our goal, that's why we do what we do.  That's also why LMTs may refer you to other practitioners, because we truly think their training, tools, experience and knowledge could help your recovery.  Because your recovery is our priority and you matter to us. And, most importantly, because we really care about you and your health.

Next time you see your Massage Therapist, keep these 10 points in mind.

Know we love what we do, helping people is the best job in the world.  We truly feel just as good as you do after a rockstar treatment!  we are genuinely grateful when you consider trusting us with your health, and we consider it a privilege to share that time with you!
